Cambridge, Mass. - The Women’s Center at Lesley University celebrates Women’s History Month with a new exhibit, The Work of Women: Daily Rhythms and Rituals in Bali, by Cambridge artist Lori Lander, on view through March 16 in Marran Gallery on Lesley University’s Doble Campus.
The Annual Women’s History Month Art Exhibit features Lander’s inspiring paintings, in which she “portrays the daily rhythms of women across the world as they work in markets and rice fields and as they take part in local festivals,” says Lander.
“My paintings explore the movement, color and light of their lives through pattern and texture. I continue to be moved by the grace and strength of these women as they go about the work of their daily lives,” Lander muses.
An Opening Reception will be held on Thursday, March 8, from 5pm to 7pm in Marran Gallery on Doble Campus, 47 Oxford St., Cambridge.
